Allen J. Christie
November 3, 1956 - March 27, 2016
CHRISTIE, Allen James - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 following a battle with cancer, at the age of 59. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Geoff, Frank and Fred as well as his sisters Rosemary and Cari. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and a nephew who loved their "Uncle Allen", as well as extended family and loving friends.
Allen dearly loved the music of The Beatles, and during his final hours, words and music from his favorite band serenaded him to sleep. “All you need is love”, he would often say. Allen’s love of life, despite the many challenges he faced, will always be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Allen, it only takes a little space to write how much we miss you but it will take the rest of our lives to forget the day we lost you. You will always live in our hearts.
Friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Allen’s Life at
Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery,
3700 Prince of Wales Drive
613-692-1211
on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Eulogies and prayers will be spoken at 2:00 p.m. followed by a final goodbye graveside.
Donations in memoriam, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
