Cristina Rojas
July 27, 1965 - January 30, 2015
Cristina Rojas, 49, passed away peacefully at her Ottawa home on January 30th, 2015. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Cristina’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her sassiness, infectious smile and crazy, but lovable attitude brought so much joy to everyone in her presence. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of time. She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Cristina is survived by her loving mother, Martha Vogrig; her sister Patricia Johnson; her brothers Bernardo Rojas and Mauricio Rojas; her niece Alexandra (Ali) Johnson; her brother-in-law David Silverson; her sister-in-laws Janet Stinson and Moira Shaughnessy and Ali’s partner Sonja Prakash. In addition to her loving family, Cristina is survived by her wonderful partner James Kenny, her best friend Eleni Dellis and her many “peeps” that had the opportunity to travel through her extraordinary experiences together.
A memorial service will be held from 2pm-3pm and reception to follow from 3pm-6pm at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery at 3700 Prince of Wales Drive on Saturday, February 7th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre.
