Bernice (Morton Sullivan) Kerr 1925 – 2015
Peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family, Bernice passed away September 26th in Ottawa. Beloved mother of Marilyn Fowler, Maureen Wong (Sam), Mark Sullivan (Lesley), Michael Sullivan (Danielle Beauchamp), Patty Sullivan and Diane Sullivan who all came together to care for her in her last years. Grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 4. Cherished sister of Phyllis Bentley of Calgary, Bruce Morton (deceased), Stan Morton (deceased), and sister-in-law of Robert Sullivan of Toronto. Known as “Aunt Bea” to her multitude of nephews and nieces across the country.
The family wish to thank the caregivers from Home Instead, especially Phillipa, Teresita and Lise, whose compassion and support in her final months were never-ending. Also her doctors Miriam Nicholson, William Splinter and Dr. Biro for excelling at their jobs. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Salvation Army and the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
A mothering star has left us.
