Peacefully at home, on Monday April 29th, 2013, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Kathleen (née Burdett); married for 62 years. Loving father of Susan (Peter LeFebvre) and Paul (Jocelyn). Cherished grandfather of Marc, Sarah (Andrew Krieger) LeFebvre and Callum Underhill. Dear brother of the late Brian Underhill (Joan). Des designed many of Ottawa’s arenas, firehalls and non-profit housing buildings. One of the highlights of his career was being awarded the Festival of Architecture Award of Merit for the Byward Market Building. He was a fixture of the Ottawa duplicate bridge scene attaining the status of life master. In recent years he received recognition from the British Government for his contribution as a conscripted Bevan Boy in the coalmines during World War II. He will be sadly missed by all. A mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Monica’s Church (2080 Merivale Rd) on Thursday May 2nd at 11am. Following the interment, there will be a memorial gathering at
Capital Memorial Chapel and Visitation Centre
