Merchant Marine – Seaman (Ret’d Veteran of WWII)
1927-2015
Unexpectedly, with family by his side, on March 18, 2015, at the age of 87.
Former husband of the late Mary Patricia Markey.
Devoted father of David (Wilhelmina), Bonnie Benoit (Ron), Laurie Brenno (late Rip), and Liz Morgan.
Cherished grandfather of Michael, Juliana, Jennifer, Ryan, Jenna, Steven, and Sidney. Loving great grandfather to Avry, Callan and Drew. Beloved brother of the late Emile (late Huguette), late Rene (late Patricia), Jeannette (late Jack), Ronald (late Yvonne), Blanche, Arnold (late Sally), the late Eugene (Susan) and Diane Gervais (Hector).
Gerry will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Carleton Lodge, and Kim, Sherry, Kathleen and Martin from the Queensway Carleton Hospital, for their compassion and care.
