HOARE: JOHN EDWARD STEWART
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a battle with cancer at the age of 77, at the Ottawa General Hospital, on March 2, 2016. Devoted husband of Anita of 52 years. Loving father of Christopher and Timothy and his wife Lisa Boutilier. Proud grandfather of Lynden, Garrasen, Lydia, Aislin, and Aubryn. Dear brother of Katherine Pratt (of Vermont) and uncle of Peter, Ian, Susan and Toby Nies.
Cribbage master, Scotch enthusiast, teller of tales, and famous for his annual Christmas Eve drop-in, he was known as a straight shooter, a family man, and a true and loyal friend, unwavering in his opinions, and accepting of all good people. He will be greatly missed.
