After a long and courageous battle, Joe passed away at home on Tuesday March 15, 2016. He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Jacqueline (nee Larabie), and devoted children, Susanna (Brian Smallwood), Jacqui (Michael Wilson), Diana (Serge Stewart) and Mary (Paul Giamberardino); cherished grandfather of Michael, Christopher and Nicholas Smallwood,; Tyler, Braden, Kyle and Ella Wilson; Cassandra and Hayley Stewart; and Matthew, Alexander and Lianna Giamberardino; cherished great-grandfather of Pypermae and Wyatt Smallwood. Predeceased by his brother, Tony (Francesca), he is survived by his siblings, Rita (Felix Vlacic), Ivan (Diane), Gaspareto (Rita), Carmen (Svetko Olic), and Maria (Nini Filipas). Left to mourn are many nephews, nieces, along with close friends both in Canada and Croatia. Friends are invited to visit at
