Malcolm Ralph Shaw
March 23, 1947 – December 14, 2015.

After a lengthy illness, Malcolm passed peacefully from this world to a better place. He and his twin brother Trevor were the first twins born in the Canadian Memorial Hospital located at Taplow/Maidenhead England. This hospital built during WW11 for Canadian military casualties, was gifted by the Canadian Government to England after the war.

Malcolm leaves behind Maureen and their children, Alexander (Ginny and children Amy and Erin), Christine (Tim VanAsseldonk and children Brooke and Reid), older sister Pamela (Dalton) Clost, and brothers Desmond (Eleanor), Ralph (Jocelyne Moreau), and Trevor (Arline). Oldest brother Eddie (Rene), a WW11 vet died in 2009 at age 87.

Malcolm along with his Mother (Ivy Phyllis Eva Shaw, fondly remembered as Nan) and three brothers immigrated to Canada in 1957, sponsored by Sister Pam (a war bride) and Brother Eddie (working on the Seaway project). Malcolm became a skilled electronic technologist, working at various local hi-tech companies. However he better enjoyed working independently, eventually setting up and running his own small business specializing in electronic repair and service. In his younger years he was an avid tennis and hockey player, talents inherited by his children and grandchildren. In his later years he particularly enjoyed kindred companionship at the McHaffie Flea Market.

According to his wishes Malcolm will be inurned and placed in his grave at the Capital Memorial Gardens in Ottawa. Visitation at 9:00 am and Service at 10:00 am will be on Tuesday December 22, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, donation to Élisabeth Bruyère: St. Vincent Hospital will be appreciated.
