Although unexpected, his timing was perfect. Roy and Jean have been married for 63 years and have seven grandchildren; Kristy and Andy Depper (David and Laura); Keith, Ali and Neil Campbell (Joni and Mark) and Sydney and Taylor Depper (Don and Karen). They were also blessed with a great grand-daughter this year, Vaughn Campbell (Keith and Kelly).

Roy was born in Ottawa on April 25, 1929 to Don and Isabel Depper. He has one sister, Betty-Ann Lamirande (Bob) and was predeceased by his older sister Cecelia in 1935. He was the son-in-law of the late Joe and Lila Miller and was close to his extended family, spending many years hunting with his brothers-in-law and friends.

From the family farm on Conroy Road and the home he built for Jean on Kemp Drive, Roy went on to travel and survey the world with Canadian Aero Services Ltd. and then Terra Surveys Ltd. where he earned the role of President in his later years. His retirement was spent at the cottage on the Blanche River, Quebec, a place he and Mom loved. They made many great friends in Leitrim and at the Blanche.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, November 22, from 12:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at
Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery
3700 Prince of Wales Drive
613-692-1211

Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the Gloucester Lions Club where he was a founding member.
Psalms 23:4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
